About Me

My photo
I started this blog to chronicle our first year of marriage. And I am terrible at keeping up with it! I am determined to keep at it even if it is months behind because I KNOW I will love looking back at it in the years to come. 2012 has been a busy year with lots of changes and still will be for the next 4 months! and "I don't wanna miss a thang!"

Giving it a whirl!

So it seems like everyone I know lately has a blog. When I think of "blog", what immediately comes to mind is "livejournal". You know...that social media that was popular before myspace was even around; where the middle schoolers and early high schoolers would rant about how horrible life is, or drone on about how they are in love with their boyfriend of 2 days....yea, I did it too. So back to "blogging"...I always associated the two and therefore vowed to never have one. Well...here I am. After realizing that I really enjoy reading my friends' blogs & knowing about whats going on with them...aaaand after my husband blogged everyday of our honeymoon...I came to the conclusion that a blog wasn't such a bad idea. Kind of like a diary; kind of like that newsletter my mom used to send out to everyone we knew at the start of a new year detailing every member of the family's likes, dislikes, and new endeavours; kind of a way to keep friends and family updated on our lives; and somewhat like a scrapbook. After encouragement from some friends I decided, "Alright. I'm gonna do this". Mainly because Ryan & I are freshly married and have had quite a few adventures and learning experiences already & I'd really like to look back on them in a few years and see how far we've come. (And also because I am much better at typing than writing in a real journal....) So I will attempt to be interesting enough for you all to want to read, but I can't always promise that. I can promise that you will be able to keep up with what is going on in our lives as newlyweds and as two people living to serve our Lord and grow closer to Him, while in the midst of all that, growing closer to each other and loving one another as Christ loves us.
